  • About the role

    The role of a Researcher is to identify, assess, approach and select candidates.

     

    You will support our Fee Earners with the generation and management of candidates for client assignments and with wider projects such as market mapping and event marketing.

     

    Candidate Generation & Attraction

    • Work with Fee Earners to identify appropriate target firms and construct the search strategy to be undertaken
    • Utilise our in-house CRM system, LinkedIn, external databases, social media, sourcing calls and the internet to generate suitable candidates and market intelligence for each assignment. Continually expand, update and improve the existing candidate pool
    • Actively head-hunt relevant candidates, conducting initial telephone interviews with interested candidates
    • Assess and qualify those with the right skills and ensure fit for interview by the Consultant
    • Provide feedback to Consultants with details of candidates who are interested, outlining their relevant experience and motivations
    • With every approach made, promote our reputation through effective candidate handling which consistently promotes, protects and extends BP’s reputation. This includes standing down candidates in a manner ensuring future approaches will be welcomed and valued

     

    Assignment Support

    • Where appropriate, attend client briefings and contribute to the search strategy
    • Work with PAs to prepare weekly Client Progress Reports, illustrating the assignment landscape and adapting/amending as the assignment develops
    • Provide feedback on market reaction to an assignment, the perception of the client and any other pertinent information gained
    • Adhere to best practice, ensuring all required candidate information is kept accurate
    • Have a keen awareness of diversity and actively encourage a diverse talent bank
